Part-day State Preschool spaces are FREE. You must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for part-day State Preschool. For the State Preschool Income Eligibility document, please click here

Fee-based options include, part-day, full-day, extended day for part-day state preschool students, and limited afterschool care.  We are not contracted with the California Department of Education to provide full-day state preschool. 

Fees are due monthly (August - May) and are on a sliding scale, based on family income.

Annual Tuition Information: 
  * If your family is not eligible for free, part-day preschool, the tuition is $650 monthly, regardless of income.  
  * Families eligible for Part-Day State Preschool based on their income will receive part of the day for free and pay a reduced cost for Extended Day and After-school Care.  
  * Families eligible for Part-Day State Preschool, because they live in the Castro Elementary neighborhood or have a child with an IEP but do not meet the income requirements, will receive part of the day for free and pay the tuition listed for “FRPM or Overincome IEP.”
  * There is a sibling discount of $100/mo for one child OR 50% per month for one child for school district staff.
  * Tuition includes a morning snack/breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack (for afterschool-care students), and enrichment activities. 
  * Tuition is based on school days.  Families are not paying tuition for holidays/breaks. 
  * Annual tuition has been divided into equal payments due on the 15th of each month from enrollment through April 15th. See the Preschool Instructional Calendar and Fee Agreement for details.
