FAQs about teaching and applying for work in MVWSD

How can I become a teacher in California?

There are several paths you can take that all end with a teaching job. To explore those, please see the Roadmap to Teaching website. To connect with an Education Career Counselor, please complete this online contact form.

How can I teach in MVWSD?

All teachers in our District must have a California Teaching Credential. If you are credentialed in another state or country, please visit the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website, to see how to transfer your credential. After you see the requirements, DO NOT apply through the State. Instead, please visit the Santa Clara County Office of Education to apply for your teaching credential. They can help you with the paperwork and give you a Temporary County Certificate authorizing service while the State works to grant your California Teaching Credential.
