As we consider best practices in recruiting high quality individuals, we realize the value of our own staff as our best recruiters.  Who best to help us ensure that we are fully staffed than our own employees? We are excited to announce that we have developed a rewarding referral program for our employees who connect us with new MVWSD employees.

Please view available vacancies now on mwvsd.org/jobs, and notify any qualified persons you know who may be looking for new opportunities. If the person you referred lists you as a referral and is hired, you will receive a bonus under the terms outlined below (Please see the details below).

Employee Referral Program

MVWSD is an amazing place to work! We would like to provide a bonus to employees who recruit new staff into our district. 


Recruitment bonuses will be provided as follows:


Current Employee Bonus

New Employee is…

New Employee Experience*

Full-Time

at least 5 years of experience in the job

$500

Full-Time

less than 5 years of experience in the job. 

$500

Part-Time

at least 5 years of experience in the job

$250

Part-Time

less than 5 years of experience in the job. 



* “Experience in the job” is defined as time worked in the same or a comparable position.

How Employee Referrals Work:

There is no limit to the number of applicants that current employees can refer!

The applicant you refer must include your name as the referring employee in their job application. Referral names cannot be added after an application has been submitted.

Bonuses cannot be applied retroactively to current employees.

Referring employees must be actively employed by MVWSD at the time the bonus is paid.

Referred candidates must not have been hired by MVWSD in the 12 months prior to their current application.

The applicant must be hired and actively work for the District for at least 1  month in order for the current employee to receive the bonus.

Bonuses will be paid in the payroll cycle following the new employee’s first month of active work.
