Measure AA Tax Exemption

On November 5, 2024, voters in the Mountain View Whisman School District approved Measure AA, a new parcel tax of $0.15 per building square foot, $25 per unimproved parcel, capped at $1,750 per parcel, to support our local schools. This tax will take effect on July 1, 2025, for a duration of 8 years. Funds from Measure AA will help the District retain qualified teachers, protect academic programs, and maintain essential services.

You may qualify for an exemption from Measure AA if:

·      You or another owner is age 65 or older (or will be 65 years of age prior to July 1, 2025), OR

·      You or another owner receives Supplemental Security Income (SSI), OR

·  You or another owner receives Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and your yearly income does not exceed 250 percent of the 2012 federal poverty guidelines,

·      AND the property is a single-family home and your primary residence

Exemption Renewal

Any homeowner previously exempt from the District's parcel taxes does not need to reapply for an exemption every year.

and return it with the required documentation by mail or drop it off in person at the address listed on the form no later than June 30, 2026, if you meet all listed requirements found on the form.
