The Staff Housing Oversight Committee was formed in September 2024 to support the MVWSD staff housing community - called Mountain View Whisman at the Sevens - at 699 N Shoreline Blvd. Thanks to the community’s support of Measure T in 2020, this is the first affordable housing development in our community created specifically for MVWSD staff members set to open in January 2025. The new community includes 123 state-of-the-art units for qualifying staff members to rent at below-market rates.

Committee's Role

Advise on operations and management of the community, including but not limited to:
* Approval/recommendations of rental rates and deposits
* Review budget and financials
* Review contracts and vendor performance, and
* Work to resolve tenant disputes
Brown Act Committee; Committee meetings open to the public.

Committee Composition

Committee will consist of up to seven (7) representative members appointed by the District’s Board of Trustees.
