New administrators for 2021-22
welcome mat graphicWe are happy to announce two new school administrators for the 2021-22 school year. We are excited to see all that they will accomplish for our students and community.

Pieter Dolmans will be the new principal of Landels Elementary. He is replacing Heidi Galassi who will serve as Graham Middle School’s new principal next year.

picture of Pieter DolmansMr. Dolmans has served as an assistant principal for the past four years at Ellen Fletcher Middle School (Palo Alto Unified), Greenleaf TK8 (Oakland Unified), Oakland Charter Academy (Amethod Public Schools) and at Drew Model Elementary School (Arlington Public Schools, Virginia). Previously, he was a middle school math teacher and teaching team lead.  

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, his master’s degree from the University of Maryland and postgraduate degrees and certificates in education from the University of Virginia and UC Berkeley.

picture of Patricia LeonardPatricia Leonard will be the new assistant principal at Graham Middle School. She will be replacing Mariko Kobata who is returning to MVWSD’s District Office as Special Education Coordinator.

Ms. Leonard has ten years of experience and expertise in instructional leadership and education administration as well as expertise in special education. She has served as Vice Principal in the Pleasanton Unified School District, Special Education Program Manager for the Modesto City Schools SELPA, Education Specialist for the Palo Alto Unified School District, and Administrator and Education Specialist in the Fremont Unified School District. 

She has master’s degrees in educational administration and special education from National University and a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Chico.
