Eighth-graders' accomplishments
picture of smiling studentOn June 7, 516 MVWSD eighth-graders are promoting from Crittenden and Graham Middle schools, and are on their way to MVLA and other local high schools this fall.
 
In addition to many personal and individual accomplishments, we recognize our eighth-graders’ contributions to these school accomplishments.
 
Crittenden:
·      99 students earned a 3.5 or above 
·      Girls Varsity Basketball team were 2018 Santa Clara Athletic League Champions
·      Boys Soccer team were 2018 Santa Clara Athletic League Champions.  
·      Girls Soccer team finished their season in the semifinals 
·      Leadership students were finalists for the California Association of Student Leaders' Outstanding Leadership Program Award, an honor presented to only 5% of eligible schools. 
·      Robotics students were selected to advance to the NorCal Peninsula District Championships. 
·      Destination Imagination team represented the state at the national competition.
 
Graham:
·      178 students earned a 3.5 or above
·      Eighth-grade girls’ softball team went to Championships
·      Two girls’ track relay teams went to County finals. 
·      7/8th grade girls soccer team made it to the semifinals,  placing them in the top of the Valley Athletic League 
·      Varsity Robotics team earned awards from the SeaPerch Robotic Submarine Challenge 
·      Graham Vocal Ensemble received a Unanimous Superior rating for their performance at the CMEA Festival. Performing arts students also earned recognition at the the Heritage Festival in Anaheim 
·      An eighth-grade team placed in the top 5 the Nike/SportsLab Design Challenge for their athletic shoe design
